My art is inspired by our environment, the natural and the created. I love to discover the obscured designs within what some would consider the mundane. My paintings are not obvious - they reflect the hinted-at elements, visible when one adjusts their perspective and their pace. I believe that Beauty is omnipresent, if only we are attuned to it. The startling abundance of colors on a blade of grass, the shapes formed by sidewalk cracks, the layers of paint and rust on an old metal staircase. Emotions are greatly impacted by our surroundings, which is why I feel that it is essential to literally color your world with positivity. You can easily place artwork and objects in your home that bring you happiness and meaning. But it is equally important to bring smiles and laughter into your life. I could not have come this far without good humor, joie de vive and letting go of taking myself too seriously. My hope is that you will find positivity, calmness, and harmony in my designs, which can inspire your own path of self-reflection.
